repeaterThe Tehama Wireless RT Network Repeater receives radio messages from MDTs and other repeaters and then retransmits the messages with its high powered radio to the data collecting DCAP. It implements a redundant and self-healing two-way mesh network between MDTs and DCAP.

Many repeaters are used to create a single RF system covering an entire property, or they can be used to connect separate buildings that may be up to ½ mile apart.

An internal backup battery permits continued operation after power has been removed. As soon as power is removed a status message to the DCAP notifying of the power status change. The DCAP then instantly generates an email indicating an unplugged repeater event, this permits a proactive network maintenance order. When power is restored messages are also generated verifying the new status.
